Brief description

ICSTI Resource Network

ICSTI Resource Network is international consortium administrated by ICSTI (International Centre for Scientific and Technical Information, www.icsti.su with headquarters in Moscow) in cooperation with SWETS (www.swets.com) is aimed to provide an access to the world electronic information resources for the organizations in field of science and innovative technologies from ICSTI member countries.

ICSTI has a status of intergovernmental organization with 22 member countries worldwide. The main objective of ICSTI is to provide information, analytical, consultative and organizational support to international cooperation in fields of science, technologies and business. In accordance with the provisions of its Statute ICSTI carries out its tasks in conjunction with interested national information bodies, scientists and experts from member states and other countries under contracts and agreements on cooperation.

SWETS is one of the world leaders in managing an access and electronic delivery of information from over 35000 publishers in all knowledge fields.

The Services offered to the consortia members:

1. Multi site access to the world leading electronic resources (journals, books and other types of publications requested by consortium members) with the primary focus on STM publisher's packages and collections, with the following functions:

• Access administration through electronic libraries and library service systems
• Reporting tools supporting the correct consortium budget expenditure - proof of relevancy and price efficiency of purchased resources via usage statistics
• oSubscriptions management

2. Information support of development programs in fields of science, education and business. Supporting and administration of individual purchases of information resources requested by any consortium member even though not shared with other members to enable any user from ICSTI member countries to create its own collection of resources optimized by price, timeliness and subject coverage.

3. The electronic document delivery and pay-per-view services on SwetsWise platform (www.swetswise.com), with the following functions

• Article search through all publications, publishers and subject categories available in SwetsWise (27 000 publication titles, over 4 000 publishers)
• Forwarding the document delivery/pay per view order using SwetsWise links to the publisher's (provider's) website
• Ordering, payment and delivery of articles in automatic mode within SwetsWise technology, without users interaction
• Providing of scheduled statistical reports on found, ordered and received articles per provider
