Brief description: Lithuanian Research Library Consortium (www.lmba.lt) was found in December, 2001. At present there are 32 members, including national, academic, significant state, county public and research institute libraries. The main objectives of the Consortium are: promoting of the creation of virtual libraries, preparation and implementation of advanced technology and innovative projects in the libraries; subscription to electronic databases for Consortium members and other libraries; promotion of Open Access; awareness raising about Intellectual Property, advocating for better conditions for libraries. LMBA consortium in 2010-2012 is working on the nation-wide project "eMoDB.LT: Opening research databases for Lithuania" http://www.lmba.lt/eMoDB/index.htm (in Lithuanian only)
