Brief description

The Library of California is early in its development, with the 2001/02 fiscal year as the first complete year of regional and statewide
operations. Regions have supported grants for a variety of databases during their first year of planning and development, some of which may continue should funding be available from state and member sources. Development of a statewide telecommunications infrastructure is of highest priority to network all LoC members to allow their participation in consortial purchasing and interlibrary loan services.
