Brief description

NEICON is Russian national library consortium juridically registered in 2002 as non-for-profit organization. NEICON was founded by 3 leading Russian libraries and 2 foundations. Consortium comprises more than 500 institutions including academics, research institutes and public libraries. Main activities relqted to development of a system of information support to Russian HE and research. Dealing with this problem NEICON have gained support from Russian government and carried out a number of governmental gontracts. NEICON has about 40 deals with major publishers and agregators. Annually abvout 50 training and 30 trial accesses are set for consortium members.
