Brief description

The North Rhine-Westphalian consortium mainly serves the academic libraries of the regions of North Rhine-Westphalia and Rhineland-Palatinate. As member of GASCO (German, Austrian and Swiss Consortia Organisation) the NRW-Konsortium also acts on a nationwide level and cooperates with other consortia. The NRW-Konsortium is represented by the Library Service Center of North Rhine-Westphalia (hbz) as consortial office and by the Director of the University Library of Siegen, Mr. Werner Reinhardt, as chairman. The Consortium acquires e-journals (lead by Univ. of Siegen) as well as databases and e-books (lead by hbz). The NRW-Konsortium is given advise by a working group of acquisition librarians from University Libraries and from Libraries of Universities of Applied Sciences.
