Brief description
Formerly known at some length as the National Group on Consortium Purchasing by Academic Libraries, Procurement for Libraries (PfL) brings together representatives of the purchasing consortia active in higher education in the UK. Membership includes the regional purchasing consortia, the Research Councils and the Funding Councils' Joint Procurement Policy and Strategy Group. One of the strengths of PfL is that representatives are drawn from both the library and procurement professions. The consortia in membership represent about 150 libraries, and have contracts estimated to be worth over £70m p.a.\
