A major activity for Denmark’s Electronic Research Library (DEFF) is licensing of electronic content. DEFF administers joint consortia purchases of licensed electronic content including negotiation and signing of contracts for licenses on behalf of the research libraries. The objective is to secure access to as much relevant electronic content for researchers, teachers and students as possible on the best obtainable conditions at the lowest possible prices.

Denmark’s Electronic Research Library (DEFF) is an organisational and technological collaboration between the research libraries, the education libraries and the special libraries, co-financed by the the Ministry of Culture, the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Higher Education and Science. The Danish Agency for Culture and Palaces hosts the secretariat for the collaboration.
