Brief Description: 

The Maryland Digital Library (MDL) is the Maryland statewide consortium of academic libraries.  The constituencies of the consortium are the community college libraries, the University System of Maryland and Affiliated Institutions (USMAI) libraries, the private colleges and universities libraries, and the United States Naval Academy Nimitz library.  The Maryland Digital Library Management Group consists of representatives from each of these constituencies and serves as the oversight organization for MDL.  The mission of the MDL is to strengthen academic library cooperation and create fiscal efficiencies through cooperative initiatives.
