CAUL is the peak leadership body for academic libraries in Australia. Full Members are the 39 University Librarians or equivalent in Australia and the 8 in New Zealand are Associate Members.
CAUL is an incorporated association, since 2019. CAUL Inc. provides a Content Procurement Service to members through the CAUL Consortium.
The CAUL office was established in 1995. The registered address is in Canberra, Australia, although the CAUL National Office now operates as a digitally connected virtual office with staff working remotely in four states across Australia.
