NEOS Library Consortium

NEOS is a collaborative library consortium consisting of academic, government and ;hospital libraries throughout Alberta, Canada.

Member libraries participate a range of activities, including the development and maintenance of a shared integrated library system; a shared online catalogue of consortium holdings; a shared patron database; onsite services such as reciprocal borrowing and reference services; a consortial physical delivery system; a centralized interlibrary loan service; an initiative to decolonize description, to change subject headings and metadata to be more accurate and respectful regarding Indigenous peoples; a digitizing for accessibility service for people unable to read standard print; and shared continuing education and staff development activities.
