NILRC connects, advances, and advocates for community college libraries.
The Network of Illinois Learning Resources in Community Colleges (NILRC) is one of the oldest community college learning resources cooperatives in the nation. It began as a grassroots organization formed to meet the needs of Community College learning resource centers. NILRC has become a leader in the development and use of a variety of instructional resources and technologies. The strong history of cooperation is a fundamental element of NILRC, which was originally named the Northern Illinois Learning Resources Cooperative, and many statewide programs in Illinois exist today as part of NILRC's legacy.
