The Saudi Digital Library (SDL) was established by the Ministry of Education in 2010 to provide the consortium of all Saudi governmental universities with a variety of the latest scientific collections such as books, journals, theses, reports and multimedia via online subscriptions
SDL provides access to more than 169 global and Arabic databases for faculty members, researchers, and students to reach the e-resources that cover many disciplines from local and international publishers
SDL expanded recently to serve the whole academic sector in Saudi Arabia, including private colleges and universities
