SURF

SURF, the collaborative organisation for IT in Dutch education and research, has been active on matters of negotiations, licensing and contract management related to agreements with global and local publishers for more than twenty years. It works closely with the collaborative organizations of libraries in academic and higher education. Several research institutions also participate in a number of agreements. SURF is closely involved in the developments surrounding Open Access, in which The Netherlands is one of the forerunners.
